Interventions/Notes
If enabled, the “notepad/pencil” icon to enter a new note or intervention can be accessed from any page within the Patient Specific View. To add a new entry, tap the icon in the header.
The “Add an Intervention” and “Add a Note” sections can be expanded and collapsed via the row header arrows to toggle between the two areas. Interventions and Notes can be entered at the same time or independently of each other.
Pre-configured interventions that are typically taken at the bedside to respond to warning notifications are available for selection. One to many interventions can be selected. Upon selection, the intervention row will become highlighted and receive a checkmark. Deselecting an intervention will restore the row to a white background and remove the checkmark.
Expanding the “Notes” section will activate the phone keyboard to display for data entry. Notes are free text and are limited to 500 characters. Once the character limit has been reached, the end user is no longer able to enter text.
To exit the Notes and Intervention page without committing changes, tap the “X” icon in the header. If data has been entered for either section, a message will appear prompting a confirmation to exit the page as any data entered will be lost. Selecting “No” will remain on the Notes and Intervention page. Selecting “Yes” will exit the Notes and Intervention page and any data entered will be cleared.
Interventions and Notes are displayed on the patient’s History tab with a recorded date/time stamp once the end user has saved via the “Save” button. If an Intervention and Note was entered and saved at the same time, they will be shown grouped together via a linking bar. User must access the History tab to edit or delete a saved Note or Intervention.
