Usage Module Overview
The Usage module is a collection of predefined retrospective data visualizations and tabular data sets that allow healthcare organizations to understand which Rothman Index applications are being used by clinicians and how they use them.
The Usage module is divided into two sections:
- User Access Overview
- Patient Access Overview
Each section has the section title on the left and an arrow on the right that will expand and collapse the section. Upon expansion, the visualizations (and data table if applicable) will display the section.
Measure and Data Definitions
In addition to providing retrospective analyses, the Usage module also allows hospitals to audit user access to patient information.
Total Individual Graphs Viewed: The number of times a patient- specific graph was accessed via Rothman INdex application during the specified period of time. the dataset only includes the viewing of a patient specific graph, not viewing the graph in the aray view.
Total Patients Viewed: This measures the total number of patients viewed per day of the week and hour of the day across the time frame selected in the filter menu.
Unique Users: The number of distinct users that viewed a patient-specific graph segmented by the Rothman Index application the user used for access (RI Trend, RI Trend EHR, RI Analytics and RI Mobile) during a specified period of time. If a user accesses the unit view via the EHR and does not click on a patient-specific graph, then that user is not counted as a unique user.
Module Filters
The data in the Usage module may be filtered by the following attributes:
- Facility/Unit associated to the vist.
- Unit type associate to the unit upon discharge.
- Date range associated to the discharge, admit, or transfer date.
Data may be grouped by any of the time-unit options in the 'Group By' filter option.
