In-House Visualizations
Upon clicking on the In-House module, users are presented with three visualizations presenting patient data relating to their RI scores, warning state and length of stay.
Patient's by Current RI
The patient's by current RI graphs categorizes groups of patients according to their current RI and location, aiding in discharge planning and bed management. It includes a count of In-House patients and highlights the most recent valid RI score generated for each patient. Hovering over the graph will highlight the section of the bar graph providing the count of patients by RI group.
Current Warning State
The Current Warning State graph categorizes patient groups according to their current warning status to assess opportunities for bed management and Rapid response Team (RRT) intervention. It displays the active RI Trend warning state of each patient along with a count of In-House patients. Hovering over the graph will highlight the section of the bar graph providing the count of patients by unit type for each warning type.
Length of Stay and Patient Acuity Based on Current RI
THis graph categorizes patient groups based on their current RI score to evaluate discharge planning and potential palliative care decision support. Each data point on the scatter plot represents a patient, displaying the most recent valid RI score generated and current length of stay by hovering over the specific point.
In-House Patient List
Below the three In-House visualizations is the patient list, which includes the following patient information:
- Visit number
- Medical record number
- Patient name
- Age upon admit
- Date of birth
- Admit date
- Facility patient is located
- Service line code
- Unit patient is located
- Unit type
- Admit RI score
- Current RI score
- Minimum RI score
- Maximum RI score
- Exact length of stay
- Calendar length of stay
- Midnights length of stay
- Admitting provider
- Attending provider
- Primary diagnosis
- Patient class
- Current warning
This section displays a comprehensive list of patients and their data featured in the In-House visualizations. In the top left corner, users can search through this list, while also having the option to download it in Excel or CSV format on the top right side of the screen. The bottom left corner offers controls to adjust the number of patients shown per page, with choices of 10, 25, or 50. Additionally, navigation through the patient list is facilitated by front and back arrow located in the bottom right corner.
Patient RI Graphs
Below the Patient List, the user will find a set of RI graphs corresponding to each patient. The number of graphs displayed is determined by the 'Items per page' setting selected in the patient list above.
Users can customize the display at the top of the RI graphs by selecting the Chart Title menu. The options available for customization include:
- Visit number
- Admission date
- Medical record number
- Patient name
- Full location
- Unit & room
- Room number
- Anonymous
Users can click on a patient's graph to open it in full-screen mode for a larger view. Alternatively, hovering over a patient's graph will provide a concise preview of the patients visit information.
