Graph Drill Down Filtering

Most graph visualizations allow the user to interact with the data series legend enhancing data clarity in the graph. Hovering over a data metric in the legend highlights the corresponding data on the graph while fading out the rest, aiding in focused analysis. Additionally, clicking on a data metric in the legend selectively removes or adds the associated series data to the graph, allowing for dynamic data exploration.

By clicking on a data point within a visualization, the Patient List and Patient Charts below the visualizations are updated to display only the patients matching the selected point. This seamless integration of visual and tabular data enhances user engagement and facilitates comprehensive data exploration.

Patient List Filter

FIltering the patient list is completed by using the search box positioned at the upper-left corner of the Patient List table. A user can filter the table through any data column by entering the desired text into the search box. Once a minimum of three characters have been entered into the textbox, both the Patients List and Patient Chart sections will dynamically update to reflect the filtered results.

Patient List Export

Users have the option to export the Patient List into Microsoft Excel or CSV formats for seamless integration with external data sources. To initiate the export process, locate the menu icon ,≡, and click on the designated button positioned at the top right corner of the Patient List section. Select the file format you prefer, and the download will begin automatically from the application with the data as it is currently filtered.

Visualization Menu

For each visualization, a menu icon  ≡  is located in the top right corner that provides the user the ability to enlarge the visualization, print, or download the visualization or underlying data. The user can open the graph in full screen for improved readability through the 'View in full screen'. To return to the application the user can select 'Exit from the full screen' or hit the ESC button.

Visualization Image Export

Users can export images to incorporate visualizations into presentations and documents through the export feature available for each visualization. To begin the export process, click on the menu icon located in the top right corner. This action will prompt a menu to appear, presenting users with the download options:

  • Download PNG image
  • JPEG image
  • PDF document

Choose the desired option based on user preferences and requirements.

Tabular Data

For some instances, it is helpful to see the underlying data of a visualization in tabular format. To see the tabular data for a visualization in a data table, click the menu icon    in the top right portion of the visualization. This action prompts a menu to appear, presenting options to export the data as a CSV file, XLS or to directly view the data table below the graph.
