Alarms Tab Features:

  • Each individual alarm is displayed for that specific patient.
  • Search functionality to find specific patient alarm.
  • Three Tabs: Limit Alarms, General Alarms, and Parameter Changes.
  • Alarms can be filtered by hour (1-hour, 2-hours, 4-hours, 8-hours, 24-hours, or all).

To View Alarms Tab

  1. Select a patient.
  2. Select the Alarms tab on the left side of the patient’s window.

To Review Alarms and Create a Strip

  1. Under Limit Alarms , Parameter Changes or General Alarms tab, select an alarm to review.
  2. Document the alarm strip by choosing a 6-second section or moving to the Compressed icon and saving up to 10 minutes of the waveform(s). Measure appropriately with calipers, select a rhythm interpretation, type a note, or flag the strip as applicable.
  3. To save the strip, select Save.

The Limit Alarms includes

  • Start Time
  • End Time
  • Type of alarm (ECG, SpO2, RR, BP, HR)
  • Alarm Value
  • Amount over/under set Limit
  • Priority of Alarm

If alarm was acknowledged

    • Time to acknowledge alarm
    • Alarm Duration

General Alarms Include

  • Alarm Value
  • Amount over/under set Limit
  • Priority of Alarm
