Patient Quick Links
Quick Links icons are Vitals, Locations, MEWS, Notes, and Reports.
Quick Links window
- To open the Quick Links window, select the + on the bottom right hand corner of any patient page. The image below shows what the Quick Links look like when opened on the right side of the patient screen.
Vitals
- Select the patient.
- Select the + on the bottom of any patient page.
- Select Vitals.
- Manually enter any vital data, such as Heart Rate, Respiration, SpO2 (%), Temperature, BP, BP Mean, BP Position.
- Select Save . Adding patient vitals manually will automatically update the patient Vitals Card on the Overview page, as well as the graphs on the Vitals tab.
Temporary Location
Temporary locations allow you to track a patients' location based off simple manual inputs selected by the caregiver. The location is updated on the user’s dashboard, as well as the Card at the top of the patient’s Overview page. The Location feature is used to notify a Monitor Technician of the change in the patient’s location, without the need for a phone call.
MEWS Assessment
- Select a patient.
- Select the + on the bottom of any patient page.
- Select MEWS.
- Type the following vitals into each appropriate fields:
- Heart Rate
- Respiration Rate
- SpO2
- Temperature
- Blood Pressure
- AVPU: Alert (The patient is awake), Voice (The patient responds to verbal stimulation), Pain (The patient responds to painful stimulation), Unresponsive (The patient is unconscious).
- Select Update button. Refresh icon pulls the latest vitals from the monitor.
Clinical Note
- Select the patient.
- Select the + on the bottom of any patient page.
- Select Note.
- Type the note.
- Select Submit (click on Flag icon before submitting note, if applicable). Properties of clinical notes include date/time, typed note, and user. It is important to place any Notes during an Infant Car Seat Challenge in real time.
Reports
- Select the patient.
- Select the + on the bottom of any patient page.
- Select Reports.
- Users can generate an ICSC or Oxygenation report.
- Add any notes to the study in real time. Notes cannot be added retrospectively to reports.
- Click Run Report once all data is entered.
