Note: Recommended process for applying, and storing telemetry, is to decentralize the telemetry units away from the Central Monitoring Room and place them on the floors in relation to patient monitoring census. Upon transferring a patient to another floor, it's important to transfer the patient within SafeNSound by scanning the NEW device, and patient ID band. Then, ensure the proper room is selected before completing the transfer and submitting the request to the Central Monitoring Room. The previous caregiver should return the original telemetry unit back to the floor it came from, with the next step being the cleaning and storing of the telemetry unit policy.
