SafeNSound Dashboard

The dashboard is the primary view and is used to manage patients, alarms, tasks, communication, and notes. Within the dashboard view, each patient’s detailed information can be accessed by clicking on the patient a single time. Several tabs along the left side of the Patient section are used to navigate through the patient’s information and events.

 

My Numbers

My number displays the following numbers:

  1. Number of Assigned Patients as My Patients 
  2. Number of Alarms for Review
  3. Number of Tasks for Review
  4. Number of Unread Messages

 

Alarms & Tasks

Alarms & Tasks displays the following events:

  1. Pending Saved Events
  2. Alarm Reviews
  3. ICSC Reports for Approval

Selecting any alarm or task will open the alarm for review or saving or the task for review. 

 

Patient Tree Navigation

The Patients Tree Navigation represents all monitored patients from a facility to individual department level view. Beds and patients are assigned to the monitor technician. The caregivers and physicians are assigned under the Staffing tab (refer to See Staff Assignment.).

As a Monitor Tech you can assign patients to yourself by clicking the check box to the right of the patient name or select an entire unit by clicking the check box next to the unit. Now all the patients selected shows on My Patient section.

 

Caregiver Type

To select your caregiver click the Caregiver Type area and select your caregiver type. After you select your caregiver type you can select any patient to assign them to yourself.

 

 

User Settings Configuration

User settings can be controlled by clicking the user icon in the upper right hand side of the application.

Profile Settings

First Name, Last Name, Title, Email, Phone Number, Mobile PIN

Signature - Displays on certain patient reports such as Car Seat Study or Oxygenation Study Report 

Special Permissions - Monitor Tech’s are granted special permissions to securely manage workflow processes and communications. In the event you need to step in as a Monitor Tech, toggle the button below.

 

Preference Settings

Preference settings allow you to control the following:

Auto-Open Bedside - Controls if the bedside widget opens up automatically or not. 

Hide Bedside - Controls the bedside widget to hide it from the dashboard.

Theme - Controls the theme of the Application to be viewed in Light or Dark mode.

Zoom - Controls the size of the application display. For smaller screens it might be beneficial to zoom out so that more content can be displayed on the screen. This will shrink the content shown in the application. 

 

Notification Settings

Notifications control the type and frequency of desktop notifications and reports you would like to receive. 

 

 

 

Dashboard Configuration

Select the ellipsis icon with the 3 dots. 

Once open you can change things such as the display of PHI, Temporary Locations, Sticky Notes, Live Waveforms, 1 Hour Alarm History, Latest Vitals, Rhythm Interpretations, Quick Link 1 and Quick Link 2, Custom Module 1 and Custom Module 2. Selecting the toggles can turn on and off different settings. 

 

 

Shift Report

Shift Report provides you a printable document for all your patients, rhythm interpretations, notes, and the caregivers associated to them.

  1. To open the Shift Report click on the clipboard icon with a plus in it.  

 

Unit/Facility/Organization Navigation

  1. To add Units/Facilities/Organizations to your dashboard select the ellipsis icon.
  2. Next select the Facilities / Units menu
  3. Finally select the toggle on next to each Facility or Unit you would like to show on your dashboard.

Note that unit selections will show up across the other areas of the app such as Staffing and Reports. 

 

Patient Navigation 

Patient row elements now direct to different tabs of patient window.
  1. Device Name = Overview
  2. Patient Name = Details
  3. Waveforms = Retro Waveforms
  4. Live Waveform = Live View
  5. Vitals = Vitals
  6. Rhythm Interpretations = Saved Events
  7. 24 hour HR Range = Vitals
  8. Alarm Count = Alarm Review
  9. Alarm bar = Alarms tab

 

Bookmarkers 

The Bookmarker feature saves users place when opening a patient record. A bookmark is only viewed when the user has selected the light background, versus the dark background.

The user must open the patient’s SafeNSound record by clicking on their name on the left side, under “Patients” versus clicking their name in the middle of the screen (under “My Patients”), for the bookmark to appear. 

 

Live Waveforms & Vitals 

Waveforms now scale horizontally with zoom and are displayed as a specific color based on feed type.
 
Waveform & Vitals Colors: 
  • SpO2: blue
  • NIBP: purple
  • ART: red
  • HR: green
  • RR: white/light gray

 

SAI Alarm Notifications

When enabled, Smart Alarm Interface will send both alarms to your mobile device and to the desktop application if you are logged in at the time of the alarm. 

  1. Select Accept to acknowledge the alarm and stop it from escalating.
  2. Select Decline to have the alarm escalate to another caregiver.
