If enabled, the icon to enter a new note or intervention can be accessed from any screen within the Patient Specific View. To add a new entry, tap the “notepad/pencil” icon in the header.
Interventions/Notes
The “Add an Intervention” and “Add a Note” sections can be expanded and collapsed via the row header arrows to toggle between the two areas. Interventions and Notes can be entered at the same time or independently of each other.
Configured interventions are multi-select and available to be selected based on interventions typically taken at the bedside following a warning notification. Upon selection, the intervention row will become highlighted and receive a checkmark. Deselecting an intervention will restore the row to a white background and remove the checkmark.
Expanding the “Notes” section will activate the phone keyboard to display for data entry. Notes are free text and are limited to 500 characters. Once the character limit has been reached, the end user is no longer able to enter text.
The “back arrow,” used to return to previous screen, is not active within the Notes and Interventions screen. To exit the Notes and Intervention screen without committing changes, tap the “X” icon in the header. If data has been entered for either section, a message will appear prompting a confirmation to exit the screen as any data entered will be lost. Selecting “No” will remain on the Notes and Intervention screen. Selecting “Yes” will exit the Notes and Intervention screen and any data entered will be cleared.
Interventions and Notes are displayed on the patient’s History tab with a recorded date/time stamp once the end user has saved via the “Save” button. If an Intervention and Note was entered and saved at the same time, they will be shown grouped together via a linking bar. User must access the History tab to edit or delete a saved Note or Intervention.
