Clicking on a graph within the Array View or on a patient’s warning card within the warnings notification screen launches the Patient Specific View within a new window.

Banner Navigation Buttons

Visits with RI Scores

Selecting the “Visits with RI Scores” tab opens the prior visits window for the associated patient and displays the current visit in the main display by default. The prior visit header and graph has the same functionality of the Patient Specific View. There will be one graph thumbnail for each prior visit with a calculated RI score. The current visit is visible as the last graph within the prior visits list. The shading of the patient banner header is white for prior visit graphs, as the presence or absence of current warning information is not applicable.

History

The History in the Patient Specific View opens a side panel that provides a detailed list of cards of warnings, interventions and/or notes history information related to the specific patient encounter that is being viewed. The history during this stay is displayed with the most recent information on top and the oldest on the bottom. Selecting “X” will exit the History panel.

The Warning history card includes the following fields:

  • RI Time: Creation date/time of RI score associated with triggered warning
  • Created Time: Creation date/time of when warning was generated
  • Warning: Warning level category
  • Rule(s) Triggered: The rule which triggered the warning
  • End Time: When the warning is set to expire
  • Status: Current state of warning

The Intervention history card includes the following fields:

  • User: The username that entered the intervention
  • Created Time: Creation date/time of when intervention was entered
  • Intervention(s): The interventions that were selected

The Note history card includes the following fields:

  • User: The username that entered the intervention
  • Created Time: Creation date/time of when intervention was entered
  • Note: The note as entered by the user

If the Note is entered at the same time as the Intervention the Note card will only contain the Note as entered. If the user that is viewing history is the user that entered the Intervention or Note, they will have an edit or delete icon to either update these entries or remove them. If there are no warnings, interventions and/or notes for the specific visit, the History button will not be displayed. If the Note/Interventions feature is not enabled the warning history will display as a grid shown below.

Warning History Overlay

Selecting the Warning History Overlay button activates overlay mode. While in overlay mode, any warning that has occurred during the visit is plotted onto the graph along the x-axis. The Warning overlay will start at the warning's created date/time and last until the warning has expired or is overwritten by another
warning. If there is no warning for the specific visit, the Warning History Overlay tab will not be displayed.

A legend appears below the graph outlining the color representation of the warnings in the overlay where Red indicates Very High warning, Orange indicates High warning, and Yellow indicates a Medium warning. Selecting the Warning History Overlay button will deactivate overlay mode when it is an active state.

Add/Remove from Watchlist

To add a patient to the Watchlist, select the "Add to Watchlist" option in the Banner Navigation Button list. This will add this patient’s graph to the user's Watchlist on the Array View.

To remove a patient from the Watchlist, select the "Remove from Watchlist" option in the Banner Navigation Button list. This will remove this patient’s graph from the Watchlist on the Array View.

Add Notes/Interventions

Selecting the Notes/Interventions button will open a side panel that will allow the user to enter any interventions performed as a response to a warning or notification. Interventions are a configurable list of activities that a nurse can complete in response to the warning notification. Example interventions are,
‘Attending Doctor consult’, ‘Medicine intervention type’, etc.

The Notes is a free text input box for the user to add any notes about the intervention(s) selected for documentation. Selecting “X” will exit the Notes/Intervention panel. If the user selects “X” without
saving after selecting an intervention or writing a note, the user will be prompted to confirm the close action without saving their entry.
