Patient Specific View

Clicking on a graph within the Array View or on a patient’s warning card within the warnings notification screen launches the Patient Specific View within a new window.

Graph Features

Current Warning

The current warning level displays at the top of the individual patient graph along with the warning created date/time stamp and the calculated warning elapse date/time stamp. When the patient is not under a current warning, there is no text visible in this area.

Zoom

Button Selection: The zoom button function allows the end user to increase or decrease the current number of days being viewed. The timeframes that are available for zoom are bolded. The grayed font timeframes are not available for zooming (due to the patient’s length of stay).

When opening the patient-specific graph, the default view is determined by the patient’s current length of stay. Starting from the current date/time, five days (5d) will display by default for any patient that has been admitted for over five days. If the patient has not been admitted for over five days, then the default automatically adjusts to the “1d” or “3d” option based on the current length of stay.

Navigation Bar

The Navigation Bar, found at the bottom of each patient’s graph, uses a slider mechanism that allows the end user to zoom in or zoom out of the graphed data points.

Vertical Lines

The black vertical lines within the patient graph represent midnight except for when the patient has been admitted for less than one day. In the scenario when a patient has been admitted for less than 24 hours, the black vertical lines represent the top of each hour (i.e. 0900, 1300, 2200, etc.).

Warning Line

If a patient is under a current warning, the warning line (red vertical line on graph) is visible in the Array View and Patient Specific View if configured to display. The line appears at the point in time the warning was created.

Y-Axis: RI Scale

The RI scale is defaulted from 0 – 100 but can fall below zero. If the patient has a negative RI score, then the Y-axis will convert to a scale of –x to 100. A zero-indicator line will appear on the graph, indicating an RI score has dropped below 0.

X-Axis: Timeframe

The X-axis time frame displays the date in “MM/DD” format and is standardized to a five-day viewing period.
